SOME BACKSTORY

Bigfoot is an ape-human type creature that many believe lives mostly in forests in the Pacific Northwest region of the North American continent. He is also often referred to as Sasquatch. He is often described as large and hairy, resembling a half-man, half-ape creature in folklore and myths.

Many of those who have reported seeing Bigfoot describe him with large eyes, a low-set forehead, large brow-ridge, and having enormous footprints. He is believed to be upwards of 500 pounds and anywhere from two to three meters tall. He is also reported to be rather smelly, and he is mainly nocturnal.

Our Story

OUR STORY

The story for us began as a weekly question to our Sunday School teacher and his wife - Harvey and Julia Waits; "Do you think they'll find Bigfoot this week?" This was a source of great irritation to Julia because she thought we were being serious, so the aggravation began.

Weekly questions, shirts, buying hats from the

Alabama Bigfoot Society, car decals, etc. Even our kids and friends got involved buying us keychains and Christmas ornaments.

To be honest, we don't believe in Bigfoot, but we do believe in the unseen. We walk by faith not by sight. We see the hand of God in nature, healing of the sick and in the birth of every child.

After seeing the many Bigfoot stickers on vehicles we realized how quick we are to display our favorite team, hobbies and characters but we are reluctant to show we are followers of Jesus Christ; not by a mere sticker but by our daily witness.

It is our prayer to use "Bigfootbelieves" as a fun way to witness to a world that sometimes takes itself too seriously.

We're not sure what "Bigfootbelieves" will evolve (no pun intended) into but if one person comes to know Jesus as their savior because of it, we'll give God the glory! - Mark & Lisa Goin
